A small selection of projects I have worked on or I am currently working on
This is the second site I’ve done for the Xing chaps. I was overjoyed to get another chance to work not only for a great client but, to be able to assist in spreading the word about what is a mind bogglingly inspirational idea. Their concept is to encourage young entrepreneurs to set up their own smoothie businesses in schools; which in turn promotes healthy diets for the rabble of burger chomping swine we call “the youth of today” ![]()
Successfull Leeds DJ’s Audiojack have been doing monthly mixes for some time now and they thought it would be a good idea to create a mix archive that people can listing to mixes and download. Only a wee job but I think it’s slick : )
Press Association Training the leading provider of journalism and media training in the UK. We were absolutely delighted when they approached us while I was at Definition to design and build a promotional website to boost applications for their prestigious Foundation Course for young journalists.
We first built a basic working website prototype, allowing the client to see clearly how the website would work. We then proceeded with visual design – our first attempts were, frankly, a little too funky/edgy, so we regrouped to create a design that looked fresh, young and modern, whilst maintaining a broader appeal and reflecting the quality of the course itself.
You can read a full case study over on the Definition Design website.
Ciao bistro is enjoying great success as a new restaurant, they had an existing website that was quite tricky to extract basic information from. Since the owner Darren is a great friend of mine, I insisted he let me quickly whip up a site with basic information on in exchange for a slap up feed. The rest is history (I had Beef Stroganoff in case you were wondering).
MillnDoll Creative needed a site to show off their growing array of talent, which includes make up artists, models and all other manner of showbiz magic. They needed an easy way to add new clients to a website so they got in touch with me. Initially they just wanted to build them a site based on what a print designer had produced. I recommended that they let me whip them up a quick design to improve usability and make the site simpler to navigate.
Since the site launched I have added video facilities as well as bumping up the features of the portfolio. It’s great having a client that’s so into what they are doing, Myra (the director) is always keen to add features and improve the site plus she is a delight to work with!
